Description
Crop rotation areas (FFF) are the most valuable agricultural land. They meet clearly defined criteria in terms of soil conditions and climatic conditions. According to the federal government’s factual plan, each canton must guarantee a minimum level of FFF. For the Kt. Schaffhausen is this minimum size of 8 900 ha. The main objective of the FFF FFF plan is to secure the country’s adequate supply base with food in severe shortages. The FFF was recorded by the farm site managers in 1985 and since then it has not been revised in principle, but adapted to the conditions such as building zones, roads, forest, nature conservation and surveying bases. The last adjustment took place at the beginning of 2018. Extensions of building zones to FFF require compensation for this area and proof of public interest.
