Control centres for bridges and locks

A control centre or control centre is a place from which bridges and locks are operated remotely. Remote control means that bridges and locks are not operated from a control building near the bridge or lock, but from a control center that manages multiple objects at the same time. The ships can then be followed on a sailing route and the operation of the bridges can be coordinated.
