A country is a project territory characterised by "geographical, economic, cultural or social cohesion; a place of collective action that brings together municipalities, associations of municipalities, socio-professional organisations, companies, associations, etc. around a common development project; a privileged level of partnership and contractualisation that facilitates the coordination of community, state and European initiatives for local development.”
It can be the subject of a contract, operational translation of the draft territory approved through the country charter. This country contract sets out guidelines for sustainable spatial planning, the organisation of public services and the public and support for economic activity, training, integration and social cohesion.
