Bathing water (data) Hamburg

Description

Technical description: Presentation of bathing waters and their monitoring stations on the Internet. Organisational framework: The EC Bathing Water Directive (2006/7/EC of 15 February 2006) lays down requirements for monitoring and classification of bathing water quality, management of bathing water quality and information to the public on bathing water quality. On 26 February 2008, the City of Hamburg adopted the "Ordinance on the Quality and Management of Bathing Waters" for the legal implementation of this EC Directive. This Regulation lays down, in particular, the quality criteria and limit values which are regularly monitored during the bathing season. The results of the bathing water tests are subject to reporting to the EU Commission and are requested from it every year. The results of all bathing waters designated in the EU are published on the website of the European Environment Agency (EEA). The monitoring results of the bathing waters designated in Hamburg are continuously published on the Internet during the bathing season.
