» The dataset contains the forest areas (1 ha) and individual objects with special immission control, local climate protection and special noise protection function in the Free State of Saxony. Forest with a special anti-immission function reduces harmful or stressful effects, especially by dusts, aerosols and gases. It thus protects residential, working and recreation areas, agricultural and forestry land as well as other vulnerable properties against adverse effects of these immissions.Forest with a special local climate protection function protects homes, recreation facilities and agricultural special crops from cold air damage and adverse wind effects. Forest with special noise protection function is a special form of the immission control forest. Forest reduces noise pollution (e.g. through traffic and industrial installations) by absorbing sound waves. A distinction is made between punctual noise sources and noise at noise routes (transport roads). The data is used for the forest function map 1:25.000 of Saxony.
