Description
Data on non-public water supply are collected on the basis of the Environmental Statistics Act (UStatG), last amended on 16.8.2005 (§8). Part of the reporting group includes the thermal power plants that generate electricity for public supply by using the heat energy of fuels or other energy sources to produce electrical energy. The other part of the reporting group includes manufacturing, mining and quarrying operations that either collect water themselves, or discharge water or wastewater into a body of water, or, if exclusively external, have a water volume of at least 10 000 m³.
