Bedbugs (Hepteroptera) from the Kalktal in the Gesäuse National Park
Description
The Austrian Gesäuse National Park is located in the Northern Limestone Alps and extends with an area of 11.054 ha over an altitude of 4 902.369 m. It is dominated by different montane to subalpine forest types, alpine pastures and alpine lawns. Through the work of several entomologists in the 19th and 20th centuries and the research work since the underprotection of the area in 2002, a total of 270 species of bedbugs from 169 sites have been detected.
