Description
Description of INSPIRE Download Service (predefined Atom): WMS service LGB: As part of the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive, the first and more detailed description of the groundwater bodies of Rhineland-Palatinate is an inventory of the subsurface of the river basins in Rhineland-Palatinate with the aim of capturing those groundwater bodies for which there is a risk of not achieving the environmental objectives set out in Article 4 of the EU WFD. The basis of the description is the hydrogeological overview map of Germany (HÜK 200). Since 2001, the Federal Geological Services of Germany (SGD) and the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Raw Materials (BGR) have been awarded a scale of 1: 200000 worked out in the leaf cuts of the TK 200.
