Natural Area of Ecological Interest Type 1 Faunistic and Floristic 2nd generation in the Centre-Val de Loire region
Description
Geographical delimitation of the Natural Areas of Ecological Faunistic and Floristic Interest (ZNIEFF) type 1 second generation updated or created as part of the ZNIEFF inventory modernisation programme initiated in 1995. The purpose of the ZNIEFF inventory is to identify and describe areas with high biological capacity and good conservation status. There are 2 types of ZNIEFF:* Type I ZNIEFF: areas of major biological or ecological interest;* Type II ZNIEFFs: large, rich and unmodified natural ensembles, offering significant biological potential.
