Grassland renewal on cattle holdings, 1990-2005
Description
Within the framework of agricultural statistics, CBS collects data on grassland renewal.
This table presents part of the results of the sample of cattle herd/grassland use held annually in November among more than 3000 cattle holdings. The topic of grassland renewal
however, it is not included in the sampling investigation every year.
Data on grassland renewal are available from 1990 onwards for the Netherlands total and from 1993 also for five agricultural regions.
Information on the nature of the crop grown before sowing with grass seed shall be available from 1999.
In the table, the data can be broken down into the following characteristics:
— agricultural region;
— total area of grassland;
— total area sown (re-sowing, sowing, after other crop);
— other crops before sowing (maize, potatoes, cereals, other crops).
Data available from: 1990.
Frequency: once every three years.
Status of the figures: New figures will be the final results.
