DTM 10 terrain model (UTM35)
Description
Digital terrain model over mainland Norway with heights in a grid of 10 x 10 meters. The terrain model is a grid model with resolution (grid size) of 10 x 10 meters.
Accuracy:
± 2 to 3 meters standard deviation in height depending on the terrain and the age of the map data in the FKB A – C area.
± 4 to 6 meters standard deviation in height depending on the terrain and the age of the map data outside the FKB A – C area.
Work on updating this dataset will not be given priority. The most recent files that were updated are from 2013. Instead, the Norwegian Mapping Authority prioritises the establishment of the National Detailed Altitude Model (hoydedata.no), where new elevation models are made available as they are produced.
At hoydedata.no there are also ready-made exports of nationwide terrain models with a resolution of 10 meters. These are generated from detailed laser data where such exist. This is supplemented with elevation data from the 2013 edition of the DTM10 if necessary to get full coverage.
