Animal manure and minerals; production, transport and use 1994-2015
Description
The table contains figures on the production, transport and use of livestock manure and the minerals nitrogen, phosphate and potassium contained therein by farms. The use of animal manure in the form of nitrogen and phosphate is compared with the placement space for both minerals (see 4. Sources and methods).
The table shows data for different regional levels, including municipalities, rural areas, provinces and concentration areas. Significant margins of uncertainty should be taken into account when using both regional and substantive results. For more aggregated use figures such as mineral use per hectare per country or absolute mineral use per province or part of the country, the margins of error are limited. Any underestimation for one manure species is then compensated by an overestimation for other types of manure.
