Web Map Service (WMS) of Landscape Maps of Aragon (MPA) of ICEARAGON
Description
The Web Map Service (WMS) is defined by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) in order to dynamically produce maps from geographic information. This standard defines a "map" as a representation of geographic information in the form of a digital image file. The maps produced by WMS are normally generated in an image format such as PNG or JPEG and can be invoked by any web protocol or software trained for the visualization of this type of services.
The standard defines three operations: GetCapabilities, GetFeature and DescribeFeatureType.
The Landscape Maps of the Comarcas of Aragon are documents that identify, classify, value and map the different landscapes existing in the region, generally very varied and of great landscape richness. The work consists of a set of technical reports with a rigorous and detailed cartography at 1:25,000 scale, also represented at 1:50,000. This documentation is complemented by 1:100,000 scale maps that allow to appreciate the generality of the district areas in the mapped variables, in addition to having a complete goerreferenced photographic annex.
