The dead; major causes of death (short list), region
Description
This table contains figures on deaths by major underlying causes of death (Beldo list), age and gender by region. The deceased will be shown to the municipality of registration. Data from the following regions are available: part of the country, province, COROP area and large municipalities. In the 2013 statistical year, CBS switched to the use of international software for automatic encoding of causes of death.
This makes the figures more reproducible and comparable internationally.
However, there are some significant shifts in the causes of death. Data available from:

Status of the figures:
The figures until 2020 are final.
The 2021 figures are provisional. Amendments as of 23 June 2022:
The preliminary figures for 2021 have been added.
Changes as of 18 August 2021 ‘COVID-19’ has been added to the causes of death in 2020.
When are new figures coming?
