Income private households with income, characteristics, region, 2005-2014
Description
This table provides information on the disposable income of private households (including or excluding student households) in the Netherlands with income broken down by various characteristics such as:
— composition of the household
— age of the main cost winner
— main source of income within a household
— living situation
— level of income.
The data on income comes from the Regional Income Survey (RIO) of CBS. The income data shall relate to the declared research year; the reference date of the population is 1 January of the year following the income research year.
As of the RIO 2010, the results are based on integral observation. The previously published results of the RIO (2005-2009 for method change) are based on a sample of around 2 million households. In order to allow for comparison between 2010 and 2009 sample samples were also published for 2009 following method change on the basis of integral observation, which included both sample-based and integral observation results for the year 2009 (breaking year).
