Married couples; Partner choice of people with a migrant background, 2001 - 2022
Description
This table contains data on married people with migration background and their choice of partner (with migration background or Dutch background). Excluding partnership registrations.
These are persons with a migrant background who were registered in the population register of a Dutch municipality at the time of the marriage.
The information in the table can be broken down by gender, migration background and generation.
CBS is moving to a new classification of the population by origin. From now on, it is more decisive where someone was born, in addition to where someone's parents were born. The word "migration background" is no longer used. The main classification Western/non-Western is replaced by a classification based on continents and common immigration countries. This classification is gradually introduced in tables and publications with population by origin.
Data available from 2001 to 2022.
