Description
Data describing speed limits for waterborne traffic in km/h and knots/h extracted from the Terrain and waterborne traffic restricted areas database maintained by the Finnish Environment Institute. The waterborne traffic restricted areas database mainly contains waterborne traffic restrictions decisions that set speed limits for watercraft. The database contains regional and line levels. The waterborne movement location database mainly contains waterborne traffic restriction decisions that restrict the use of a specific type of vessel (usually a personal watercraft), an engine power restriction, or prohibited wave-inducing, anchoring or other activities. The database contains regional and line levels. Both waterborne traffic restriction databases may contain speed limits as well as other types of restrictions. The data is available in SYKE's OIVA service with more detailed metadata.
