Noise pollution on national roads in the Netherlands 2011 (24-hour average)
Description
Lden, the average noise level of 24 hours of a year. The colors on the map show the influence of a highway on the environment. Green stands for little noise, purple for a lot of noise. On the map, only the noise level recorded is higher than 55 decibels. Lower noise levels are not displayed.
The map shows all the motorways managed by Rijkswaterstaat. Sound maps of other roads and other noise sources can be found at provinces and a number of municipalities.
