Marrying; marriages and marriages according to various characteristics
Description
The table contains data on marriages (excluding partnership registrations) and married persons (including persons who entered into a registered partnership) among the population of the Netherlands by sex ratio, age (as at 31 December), marital status, marriage ranking number and country of birth.
In the table, the data can be broken down into the following characteristics:
- Marriage closures by sex ratio and age difference;
- Marriage closures according to sex ratio and mutual marital status;
- Marriage closures according to sex ratio and mutual ranking number of the marriage;
- Marriage closures by sex ratio and country of birth;
- Married persons by sex and age;
- Married persons by sex and marital status;
- Married persons by sex and marriage reference number.

Status of figures
All figures in the table are final.
Changes as of 24 May 2024:
Final figures for 2023 have been added.
When will there be new figures?
In the fourth quarter of 2025, the final figures for 2024 will be included in this publication.
