Spending; concise layout by household characteristics, 1992-2010
Description
CBS collects data on private household spending to provide the fullest possible picture of the spending pattern related to household characteristics.
These are expenditures of private households. Households and persons in establishments, institutions and homes are not part of the respondents.
This table contains part of the results of the Budget study. It concerns the spending patterns of a number of types of households. Household types are based on characteristics that are strongly related to spending, namely: income, household size, household composition, age of main costwinner, main source of household income and property ownership. In the preliminary figures for 2010, the breakdowns by income and main source of income are based on the data from the year preceding the reporting year.
Expenditure on goods and services is divided by function into six main groups and a group of additional data. Within these groups a subdivision is also made. This subheading is called the concise classification, also known as a division at level 3.

The figures up to the year 2009 are final.
The 2010 data is provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive.
