Car service companies (SBI 502)
Trade automotive parts and accessories in combination with mounting of
concerning parts and accessories, e.g. shock absorbers,
exhausts, batteries, etc. of tyres which are principally
assembled, repairing tires, balancing and aligning wheels.
Repair of specific car parts such as radiators, shock absorbers,
brakes, cardan shafts, etc.; repair of electric car parts such as
starter motors, batteries, alternators, wiring in cars, lighting etc.
This publication contains the main results of an enqu^te that
CBS holds annually among companies within this industry based on
a sample examination. The purpose of the enqu^te is the production, the
mapping consumption and added value to a large number of
economic activities. The results are incorporated into the system of
the National Accounts.
A large number of changes have been made in 2000:
methods and procedures for production statistics.
The year 2000 is therefore a type of start-up year, in which (yet)
publication of all variables can be carried out in detail. Further are
the results for the year 2000 (and later) not simply
similar to those of previous years.
For this reason, it has been decided to include the results from the year 2000
in a new publication “Key numbers of services”.
