This table provides information on the loss and profit account, balance sheet, investments, staffing, capacity and production of groups of enterprises whose main activity is hospital care, mental health care, disability care, nursing home care, home care, social care and women’s care and youth care. This concerns only publicly-financed corporate groups. The enterprise groups are classified by main economic activity in accordance with the Standard Business Classification (SBI) 2008. This is a so-called institutional approach which takes into account all the ancillary activities of the groups of undertakings considered.
Year-on-year developments in finance, personnel and production are partly influenced by population changes. Changes in the main activity, creations and removals lead to changes in the population of enterprise groups. Mergers, acquisitions and divisions can also result in changes in the population.

All figures included in the table are final figures.
With the exception of 2011 data. These are for the time being. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised.

This table has been discontinued and has been followed up by the new table ‘Caring institutions; finance, staff, production and capacity’ (see paragraph 3).
