Financial flows in healthcare; final financing, 1998-2016
Description
This table describes where the money spent on care comes from. The money flows from the “funding sources” through the “funding schemes” to health and welfare providers and health and welfare policy and management institutions. In this table, the financial flows in current prices are traced as far as possible to their final origin: households (including the self-employed), the government as redistribution, companies/employers (including the government as employer) and abroad.
Data available from 1998 to 2016
Status of the figures:
The figures for 2015 and 2016 in the table are provisional. The figures for the previous years are final. Since this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised. The total expenditure according to the financing schemes is equal to the total healthcare expenditure as set out in the Health Care Accounts.
