History of buildings in Helsinki
Description
Building inventories of different scales produced by the Helsinki City Museum in Lauttasaari, Munkkiniemi, Northern Haaga and Laajasalo.
The material includes basic information on buildings, building designers, developers and contractors, original and current use, building history, conservation status, environmental description, as well as information on the facades and special features of the building. A detailed description of the material can be found in the Word file attached to the material.
The location of the buildings is based on both their addresses and coordinate points. The coordinate system of the data is ETRS-GK25.
The building inventory of Lauttasaari was carried out in 2001-2002. The eastern part of Vattuniemi is not included in the inventory.
The construction inventory of the Munkkiniemi district was carried out in two phases. The construction inventory of Munkkivuori, Niemenmäki and Kuusisaari was completed during 2003. The Old Munkkiniemi inventory was completed at the end of 2005. The residential area of Talinranta has not been invented.
The North Haaga building inventories date back to 2006.
The inventory of Laajasalo was completed in 2008. It includes buildings that were built before 1940.
