This table contains figures on the projection of the population of the Netherlands in households and private households in the Netherlands. The figures refer to the situation as at 1 January.
The following breakdowns are possible:
— Persons by household position, gender and forecast interval;
— Private households by forecast interval;
— Average household size by forecast interval.

The figures in this table are forecast figures calculated.
Changes as of 16 December 2021:
None, this is a new table in which the previous forecast has been adjusted based on the observations now available. The forecast period now runs from 2022 to 2070.
When are new figures coming?
The frequency of appearance of this table is one-off. The new household forecast table will be published in December 2024.
