Health Insurance Act; non-payers Other Features, 2006-2009
Description
This table shows the number of defaulters under the Zorgverzekeringswet with an administrative contribution on 31 December of the years 2006-2009, according to the characteristics of the place in the household, enrolment in higher education (HBO or WO) and benefits for incapacity for work, assistance, unemployment or IOAZ/IOAW.
The number of defaulters at the end of 2010 is not comparable to the number of defaulters published for the years 2006-2009 due to the difference in definitions used and the change in the method of delivery of the data.

Changes as of 26 April 2012:
The figures for 2009 have been corrected and the table has been discontinued.
When determining the number of defaulters at the end of 2009, the ages of the persons concerned were mistakenly calculated not as at 31 December but on 30 September of the relevant reporting year. As a result, some of the people are assigned to the wrong age group. The difference in the number of defaulters is greatest at the lowest age category (18 to 20 years), because in this case the outflow to the higher age group is not compensated by inflows from a lower class.
