Deeper Ice Age Water Ladders
Description
Deeper glacial watercourses are common in large parts of Schleswig-Holstein. They are separated from the near-surface, covered or not covered watercourse by cohesive horizons - ice-age boulder gels, silts and clays - with a thickness of at least 5 m. The representation-relevant minimum thickness of a deeper glacial water pipe is 5 m. In such thicknesses, depending on the local overall thickness and the conditions of formation of the glacial sediment sequence, a sequence of several deep glacial water pipes is also possible in principle. They reach a maximum depth of -100 mNN. Greater depths are only reached in glacial channels.
