Description
This table contains the majority of the results of the annual Health Survey module from the Permanent Living Situation Research (POLS). CBS conducts this survey with the aim of providing as complete an overview as possible of developments in the health, medical consumption, lifestyle and preventive behaviour of the Dutch government.

Questions are asked about general health, chronic conditions, physical impairments, contacts with general practitioner, physiotherapist, specialist and dentist, hospitalisations, medication use, smoking, alcohol use, physical activity, flu vaccination, cervix smears and mammograms. In the table, the data can be divided into the following characteristics:

— sex x age class (2x)
— type of health insurance (until 2006)
— level of education
— social economic group
— household composition
— urbanity of residence

Changes as of 14 October 2016:
The Declaration of Symbols has been simplified. As a result, in this table all the dashes (nihil) and crosses (secret) in the numerals have been replaced by a point (the number is unknown, insufficiently reliable or secret).
When are new figures coming? Table has been discontinued.
