Activities, sports and injuries
The figures presented on activities, sports and injuries are based on questions from the Permanent Research on Living Situation (POLS) of the Central Bureau of Statistics. In POLS, which has been operational since 1997, the previous separate surveys on the different topics of living situation have been forged together into an integrated system of living-situation studies. Wrist has a modular structure. One of the modules concerns the module Work and Health. In the Health Survey
from 1996 and in the 1997 POLS module, questions were included on ‘sports and movement activities’, participation in sport and the duration of physical activities and sports injuries.
The net sample was about 15 thousand people.
