Average traffic in working day, speed, percentage of heavy goods vehicles and infringement rate - MEL
Description
### Background
These are **punctual** road counts, carried out in the context of a specific need (before works, traffic study, request from a third party (town halls, other MEL services).
### Method
These measurements are carried out internally or by a service provider via the installation on the roadway of removable meters (electromagnetic detection plates or pneumatic tubes) for a limited measuring time: 1 to 15 days.
### Data
Road counts carried out in both directions of traffic since 2012.
- INSEE code;
- the date of counting;
- the section number;
- the Working Daily Average for each direction of the Light Vehicles; Unit: number of LVs/day;
- the Working Daily Average for each direction of the Heavy Weights; Unit: number of PL/day;
- The V85 of the LVs for each direction: the V85 is the maximum speed below which 85% of users drive; Unit: km/h;
- The infringement rate of the LVs for each direction; Unit: %;
The MJO is the average of the number of vehicles passing on working days, i.e. the average of daily traffic excluding weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
