Persons in possession of a car or engine; personal characteristics, 2010-2015
Description
This table contains information on persons aged 18 and over who are in possession of passenger cars and two-wheelers/motorcycles, according to the position on 1 January of the year. The owners of passenger cars include not only persons who own a car, but also persons with a leased car that they use privately. A person may be in possession of both a car and a motorcycle. In this case, this person is taken into account with both the car owners and the motorbike owners.
In addition to the absolute number of owners, the number of owners is also presented as a percentage of the total number of persons aged 18 and over. The percentage is calculated within the group of people with the same background characteristics. For example: in 2010, 31.2 percent of all men aged 20 to 25 were in possession of a passenger car. For women aged 20 to 25, this was 21.9 percent.
(Persons in institutional households are not included in this table, people with a one-man business do).

This table was discontinued as of 20 August 2018. However, it is possible to have tables with more current or other figures on vehicle ownership of persons and households made to size by CBS.
