Description
CBS has been collecting data on security since the 1987 statistical year.
companies. Since 1994, these companies have been fully recognised where
5 or more persons (from size class 3) are employed. They are under—
undertakings whose principal activity is to carry out for third parties
security activities. These undertakings include, inter alia,
security services, emergency centres, control rooms, detective agencies, money and
value transports and security consulting firms. Names, addresses and
relevant characteristics, such as, for example, the SBI typing of in principle
all companies in the Netherlands are registered in General
CBS Business Register (ABR). The mentioned SBI typing is a
classification of economic activities, for which any undertaking can
are classified according to the nature of the economic activity which they
exercises. Companies with more activities are classified according to the
main activity, with added value as a criterion.
