Description
Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has various stone-and-earth raw materials in a near-surface, degradable position. These include above all the loose rocks gravel sand and sand, clayy raw materials, chalk lime, diatomaceous earth as well as peat and lawn iron ore. Its stratigraphic position extends from the Lower Jurassic (Lias) to the Holocene. The use of the rolling material ranges from bulk and bedding material to raw materials for mortar, aerated concrete, sand limestone and concrete aggregate, which dominates the bulk raw materials gravel sand and sand.
