Tracking records of the reproduction of 'Gypaetus barbatus' bearded vultures in Andalusia. Recovery and conservation plan for necrophagous birds. Period 2015-2022
Description
Annual monitoring data on the reproduction of 'Gypaetus barbatus' bearded vultures in Andalusia for the period 2015-2022. Framed within the scope of the 'Plan of recovery and conservation of necrophagous birds', approved by Agreement of January 18, 2011, of the Governing Council. The Plan establishes protection measures for three endangered species: Boneless vulture, royal milano and alimoche, and another vulnerable, the black vulture. The species is listed as 'Endangered' according to Decree 23/2012, of February 14, which regulates the conservation and sustainable use of wild flora and fauna and their habitats.
The follow-up work of the species, within the framework of the Reintroduction Project of the Boneless Quebranta in Andalusia, begins years before 2015. From this annuity is when the first breeding pair is established in the Andalusian region from specimens released into the natural environment.
The data are collected in table format with information regarding the name of the species, coordinates of the nest (EPSG:3042), name of the territory, annuity, identification of the couple, name of the chicken (if any) and observations of reproductive success/failure.
