Traffic situation Hamburg

Description

The dataset contains the traffic situation in real time (updated every 5 minutes) on the Hamburg road network and on larger roads in the direct Hamburg area as well as on the motorways running through Hamburg south to Lüneburg, Hanover and Bremen and north to Itzehoe, Flensburg and Lübeck. The traffic situation is divided into 4 condition classes, from condition class 1, flowing traffic (green) over condition class 2, dense traffic (orange) and condition class 3, tough traffic (red) to condition class 4, jammed traffic (dark red). If no data is available for individual segments permanently or temporarily, no traffic situation is displayed. The traffic situation is determined by means of a speed index (GI). This is calculated from the current speed divided by the speed with free traffic flow. The classification in the state classes is based on the following specifications: Condition class 1: GI > 0,7, Condition class 2: GI >= 0,4, Condition class 3: GI >= 0,2, Condition class 4: GI < 0.2 The traffic situation is based on floating car data from INRIX, which is provided by TraffGo Road GmbH.
