Population monitoring records of ganga ortega (‘Pterocles orientalis’) in Andalusia from censuses. Wintering and reproduction
Description
Systematic population monitoring records of ortega ganga ‘Pterocles orientalis’, collected in the period 2006-2019. Specifically, wintering data for the period 2006-2013 and reproduction data for the period 2007-2019 are collected. The species is included in the “Plan of Recovery and Conservation of Steppe Birds” of Andalusia. The data come from the Emergency Program, Epidemiological Control and Monitoring of Threatened Fauna (PECES), from the Conservation and Recovery Programs of Steppe Birds, and from LIFE projects of the same theme that the Andalusian environmental administration has developed.
The information is reviewed annually and it generates the interpretative regional reports published on the website of the Junta de Andalucía following the Protocol of transfer and dissemination of the information derived from the Plans and Programs for the Conservation of Wild flora and fauna and the equipment entrusted to the Andalusian Environment and Water Agency (AMAYA) on 29/10/2014.
