Description

This table describes the number of young people who received youth care in the reporting period. These young people can be further broken down by personal characteristics (on 1 January), by the forms of youth care and by the municipality responsible for youth care according to the Youth residence principle. The addition of the number of young people across multiple forms of youth care within a (sub)total can be greater than the (sub)total itself. A young person can have multiple trajectories with different forms of youth care, but with each form of care or (sub)total, a young person only counts once. In order to show how young people in the Netherlands are doing, the National Youth Monitor describes more than 70 topics in addition to this topic. The topics are called indicators. Data available from: 2015 This table shows the figures from 2021 onwards. Due to a trend break, the figures for 2015-2020 can be found in a separate table that can be found via the link 'Tables Youth Care' in paragraph 3. Section 4 provides more information on matters affecting the comparability over time of the figures in this table. Status of figures: Figures for the second half of 2023 and the whole of 2023 are provisional. The figures for the first half of 2023 are further provisional. The other figures are final. Changes as of 30 April 2024: - Provisional figures for the second half of 2023 and the whole of 2023 have been added. - The provisional figures for the first half of 2023 have been replaced by further provisional figures. Changes as at 31 October 2023: As of the reporting period 1st semester 2023, the migration background figures in this table will no longer be updated. When will there be new figures? The provisional figures for the first half of 2024 will be published at the end of October 2024.
