Description

Distribution mapping of endangered (and of interest) flora and fauna species in UTM 5x5 km grids within the scope of the following legislations: - Andalusian catalogue of endangered species. Recognized in Law 8/2003 of the Flora and Wildlife of Andalusia and developed in Decree 23/2012 regulating the conservation and sustainable use of wild flora and fauna and their habitats. - Birds Directive. Annex I - Habitats Directive. Annex II - Plans for the recovery and conservation of endangered species. Since the detailed information obtained in the different follow-ups is sensitive, it is transformed into an area of influence of 5x5 km. Excluded information: Plan for the Recovery and Conservation of Necrophagous Birds (information not available), Plan for the Recovery and Conservation of Fish and Invertebrates of Epicontinental Aquatic Environments (in the process of defining methodology) and Plan for the Recovery and Conservation of High-summit Species (in the process of defining methodology). Data updated until December 2021. With respect to the previous version (February 2023), the fauna information is updated to December 2021 and includes the information obtained from the Cartography of the critical distribution area of the Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus) in Andalusia, 2021. The delimitation in 5x5 km grids comes in most cases from point locations from fauna censuses and monitoring locations in flora, so it does not constitute the distribution area of the species represented. Only distribution areas for steppe birds and lynx are incorporated. The current version of the Integrated Mapping and Zoning of the distribution of endangered steppe birds in Andalusia is maintained. Version 2021, which covers census and/or sampling data up to year 2020. Public information
