Charging points

To enable the introduction of electric cars into the city, public charging points are available in Eindhoven. This includes charging stations, but also, for example, connections to lampposts.

This data collection contains the locations of the public charging points managed by the Municipality of Eindhoven. These data have become known through the applications for a permit for charging stations or since 01-01-2021 (expired permit requirement) the submission of a notification. 75 Points were awarded without a traffic decision in the context of a pilot.

In Eindhoven there are also semi-public charging stations on e.g. private parking spaces of restaurants and shops. This type of (semi-)public charging stations are not part of this dataset, but can be found on a national website (https://oplaadpalen.nl/) supplemented with various data such as whether the charging station is occupied or free, so that electric car drivers can easily find an available charging point.
