Description
For the implementation of its work, the State Agency for Development Cooperation will have approximately EUR 1.9 million at its disposal in 2016. The vast majority of these funds were granted to Berlin development cooperation institutions within the framework of institutional support.
Within the scope of its competences and opportunities, the State of Berlin concentrates on development policy domestic work in its project funding, in particular on education and public relations. Projects abroad are only possible within the framework of city partnerships in Berlin and its districts as well as as part of school partnerships. For 2016 there are EUR 500.000 available for the project funding.
The administrative administration and award of the funding has been with the Nord-Süd-Brücken Foundation since October 2004.
The decision to support projects remains with the Senate Administration for Economic Affairs, Energy and Enterprises.
