Building permits; new construction by type of building 1990-2016
Description
This table contains part of the results of the monthly statistics granted building permits (now called ‘environmental permits with activity building’). This table publishes data on the construction sum, content, surface area and number of permits granted for new buildings. This data is further broken down by type of building and the destinations market sector and budget sector.
The results for the period 1990 to 2002 relate to building permits granted with a construction sum starting from 45 thousand euros. As of 2002, the lower limit has been raised to 50 thousand euros.
Data available from January 1990 to December 2016.
Status of the figures
The figures are final.
Changes as of 8 May 2017:
None, this table has been discontinued. With effect from the 2017 reporting year, a different methodology shall be used for the publications, in which:
— Figures of municipalities with non-response are estimated.
— Fulfilled statements by municipalities over previous periods are included in the figures for the month in which the authorisation was granted.
— Provisional figures are also published.
— Twelve months after publication, the figures are definitively determined.
When will there be new figures?
No longer applicable. This table is followed by new tables with recalculated figures of building permits granted from 2012. See paragraph 3.
