Building permits and new homes; key figures, 1995-2011
Description
This table publishes key figures on:
— the sum of the building permits granted for residential and commercial buildings;
— the number of new homes for which a building permit has been issued;
— the number of new homes that have been completed.
The data for the new-build homes are broken down by client for construction and by type of property (rented and owner-occupied houses).
The results for the period 1995 to 2002 relate to the value of the building permits granted with a construction sum starting from 45 thousand euros. As of 2002, the lower limit of observation has been raised to 50 thousand euros.

Status of the figures:
The figures are final.
When will there be new figures?
This table was discontinued as of 11 April 2012.
Reason for discontinuation:
The data on the housing stock come from January 2012 from the Basic Registrations Addresses en Gebouwen (BAG); these figures do not match existing statistics. The housing stock figures from January 2012 will be published in other monthly and annual tables.
