Description
This table deals with turnover, persons employed and the number of foreign subsidiaries outside the EU area controlled by a Dutch institutional unit (the underlying statistics is called Outward-FATS).
The nationality of a company is determined by assessing globally which institutional unit has control over the enterprise group. For the data in this table, the Ultimate Controlling Institutional Unit (UCI) of the enterprise group is located in the Netherlands.
The data is collected in the framework of the statistics “Foreign Affiliates Statistics” (FATS) of the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat).
The data in this table are published by year, classification of the economic activity according to the Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008) and the country where the foreign subsidiary is located.
Data available from 2008 to 2020.
Status of the figures:
The figures up to 2019 in this table are final, the 2020 figures provisional.
As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised.
