Construction; turnover growth by company size, 2004-2008
Description
This table provides information on the evolution of domestic turnover
of companies in the construction industry. These are quarterly and annual series
from 2004-2008. The data can be subdivided by branches and
size of business. The results are expressed in indices based on
the year 2000. Also, the trend in relation to the same period of
indicated the year before.
The data in this table are presented by industry according to two
classifications:
— according to the so-called Standard Business Classification 1993 (SBI '93);
— to an alternative classification derived from the SBI '93.

Status of the figures:
All figures are final.
Amendments as of 23 June 2009:
Response in November 2008 and December 2008
has been implemented in the outcomes. Revenue development is in most
sectors of the construction industry hardly corrected (several tenths of
a percentage point).
This table was discontinued as of December 2008. The statistical survey carried out by
the basis of the results in this table is, as from
two major changes have been made in January 2009.
— First, the basis for the indices shifted from the year 2000
to 2005.
— Second, CBS’s Standard Business Classification (SBI) is drastic
revised.
As a result, the figures from 2009 onwards are no longer comparable to the previous
years.
CBS therefore publishes a new table. For more information, see
paragraphs 3 and 4.
