Average population; gender, age, burg. state, region, 1995-2016
Description
This table provides figures for the average population of the Netherlands by age, gender, marital status and region.
The regions listed in the table are parts of the country, provinces, COROP areas and municipalities.
The regional totals presented concern aggregations of municipalities. In case of border changes that cross different regional borders, the division of municipalities is grouped according to the most recent situation.
For example: for the municipality of Vianen, which transferred from the province of South Holland to the province of Utrecht as of 01-01-2002, it is grouped in the table in the province of Utrecht.

All figures in the table are final.
Processing of border change Rotterdam and Rozenburg in 2010
On 18 March 2010, the municipality of Rozenburg was dissolved and transferred in its entirety to the municipality of Rotterdam.
For practical reasons, in the calculation of the average population of Rotterdam in 2010, the population numbers of Rotterdam and Rozenburg were added together on 1 January 2010.

None, this table has been discontinued.

The figures from this table will be shown in the Population table on 1 January and on average; gender, age and region continue (see paragraph 3).
