Company characteristic of frontrunners, lagging behind; profit margin 2009-2010
Description
This table contains business characteristics of two groups of companies within an industry according to the CBS Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008). The first group are the frontrunners within an industry on their profit per euro turnover (profit margin). The second group is the lagging behind within the same industry on their profit per euro turnover (profit margin). The table contains data on staff, salaries, turnover, result, balance sheet total, labour productivity and some financial figures. It also indicates how reliable the differences found between frontrunners and laggards are.
In this table, the profit per euro turnover is used to decide which companies are the frontrunners and which ones are left behind. Two more tables are available that choose a different angle; one bases the two groups on the profitability of equity, the other on labour productivity.
