Bike and Ride facilities Wuppertal

Description

The data set comprises the (as of 01/2020) 29 Bike and Ride facilities in the Wuppertal urban area, including the peri-urban outdoor area, which were created in the course of the implementation of the "Wuppertal parking concept" at local rail passenger transport stations and some suspension stations and bus stops. The data are managed by the responsible department "Road and Traffic Planning" of the department 104 "Roads and Traffic" with a specialist procedure within the Wuppertal navigation and data management system WuNDa and updated promptly if necessary. (WuNDa is a cross-thematic, web-based geoinformation system in the intranet of the city administration of Wuppertal.) The Bike and Ride facilities are subject to rare changes. The geographical position of these actually area-based plants is represented simply by points. In addition to the location coordinates for each plant, the data set includes some descriptive attributes including a hyperlink to a photo of the plant. The ESRI shapefiles, KML and GeoJSON files provided as open data under the CC BY 4.0 license are updated weekly in an automated process.
