Description

This table shows figures on investments in tangible fixed assets. The investments were made by non-financial companies. A distinction is made between types of fixed assets and between new or existing assets. The table also provides information on sales of property, plant and equipment. The table distinguishes seven types of property, plant and equipment: 1. Land and land; 2. Business premises; 3. Land, water and civil engineering works; 4. Means of transport; 5. Computers and peripherals; 6. Machinery and installations; 7. Other property, plant and equipment. The following shall not be taken into account: - Investments in stocks; - Investments in branches abroad; - The value of acquired companies whose activities continue virtually unchanged. The figures can be broken down by activity of the companies, according to the Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI2008). Data available from: 2009. Status of figures: The figures up to 2022 are final. Changes as of 5 June 2024: The provisional figures for 2022 have been revised and are now final. Changes as of 23 May 2023: - The final figures for 2021 have been added. - As of 2021, the SBI sections P, Q, R and the last parts of Section S with the underlying SBIs have been added to the survey and publication. When are new figures coming? Approximately one year after the year under review, the preliminary investment figures for total investment in tangible fixed assets for the mineral extraction, industry, energy supply, water supply and waste management and construction sectors are published. Final, more detailed figures will become available one and a half years after the end of the reporting year for all sectors examined, including the five sectors mentioned above. The figures may be revised if significant adjustments are necessary.
