2015 Health Facility Assessment in Rwanda for Maternal and Child Survival Program (MCSP)
Description
In October 2015, the Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC), in collaboration with MCSP, conducted a cross-sectional baseline assessment of public and faith-based health facilities in 10 districts of Rwanda to guide work planning for strengthening reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH) services.
The assessment targeted 64 facilities and used the Health Facility Assessment (HFA) adapted from the SARA Tool. The Service Availability and Readiness Assessment (SARA) is a health facility assessment tool designed to assess and monitor the service availability and readiness of the health sector and to generate evidence to support the planning and managing of a health system.
