WMS LGRB-BW Corg Organic Carbon
Description
The formation of humus supplies is a slow, decades-long process. With the same long-term land use, there is a balance between supply and degradation of organic matter. It adjusts to the location and use of corresponding, relatively constant humus content in the soil. Soils can be a sink or a source for carbon dioxide. The Corg levels and inventories of the soils in Baden-Württemberg are calculated here up to a depth of 100 cm u. fl. by means of multiple linear regressions, taking into account climate, soil and relief parameters separately according to land use and soil type groups.
